Package Design: Ball Creative
Harvest Meats of Yorkton, Saskatchewan was founded in 1954 and has history in the sausage business that dates as far back as the 1920's. But their western heritage doesn't keep them from looking forward and being at the forefront of today's Canadian meat industry. When Harvest Meats recognized a potential for expansion, not only at their plant, but also on Canada's grocery shelves, they moved on it. They looked to Ball Creative to help them roll out their new brand packaging.
This new communication to consumers focuses on a high quality statement and a sought after attributes line-up. Harvest Meats is of the highest quality products you'll find in the category, and their customers need to be able to recognize the value in that.
Harvest Meats is listed in all of Canada's major chain stores with 120 different products, including a famous thick cut bacon line and 50 different kinds of sausage. Although specialty products and a look to convey their place in the market play a key role in the company's plans, 75 percent of production is cured and smoked pork products such as ham, sausage, wieners and bacon. Bacon, need we say more?
Stay the course, keep your sights on results for your clients and work with some great people.
We've been fortunate to work on some really great projects and for some fabulous clients. We don't blow our own horn very often, but the work we have to show for 10 years is a testament to our dedication, persistence and focus. We love what we do and we couldn't have done it without the support of the entire Ball Creative team... family, friends and fabulous clients.
With its first store opening in 1988, Chatters has become Canada's leading retail hair salon and product chain. With nearly 100 locations, spanning across the country from Victoria to St. John's, offering salon brand name products at an affordable price point, it's no question why.
Ball Creative was named as Chatters' agency, and has put into place a franchise marketing program that is designed to get noticed with a well-targeted end consumer. Ball Creative has focused to give the brand a unified voice and identity across all locations. Employing both internal and external campaigns the system-wide franchise program is already seeing results; increasing awareness of Chatters and their brand experience, and growing sales with call to action advertising of products and services.
2010 saw the union of two Canadian companies form Stuart Olson Dominion Construction Ltd., with both of these companies bringing its own impressive 70+ year history and following. Ball Creative, in competition, recognized these two well-established brands with a logo and identity that honoured the impact both had made in the industry. Within the newly designed logo, the historic Stuart Olson 'S' and the Dominion Construction 'D' are joined in a bold, yet organic nature to form a contemporary symbol. The positioning statement - People. Building. Progress. - are three words that stand separately and work together representing the new company's blueprint by which to solidify a future for Stuart Olson Dominion.
Ball Creative addressed the impressions and feelings put forth from the heritage brands in a new, contemporary way, which was embraced by the organization, and its parent company. Since its inception, the brand identity has received numerous accolades.
Ball Creative is honoured to have been awarded the brand development and management of this prestigious Canadian company.
